Jack O'Lantern's glow is a working game of Tetris

1 hr.

What happens when you combine Russian design, Japanese entertainment and American holiday tradition? A Jack O'Lantern with a fully functional game of Tetris inside, topped off by a prickly pumpkin stem serving as a joystick.

The one-of-a-kind gourd was built by tinkerer 37-year-old?Nathan?Pryor of Vancouver, Wash.,? who came up with the DIY video game when he realized he didn't have enough time to complete his original idea: growing pumpkins inside forms in the four-block shapes of Tetris pieces.

"Pumpktris" was built with parts Pryor had around the house, as well as an LED matrix controller board from Adafruit Industries. A humble suggestion for a Thanksgiving version: two-player Tetris turkey.
